The germ of an idea and the first attempts to make a semi-automatic pistol that was later called ”Kratos” began almost 10 years ago. Ever since Žiga first started shooting, he dreamed of the idea and possibilities of making his own 1911 pistol. This dream grew stronger and eventually turned into an obsession that manifested itself in constant thinking, drawing, designing and calculating how to build the perfect gun.

Many years later, his dream came true when Kratos was presented at IWA OutdoorClassics in Nuremberg (Germany) in March 2022, as the first fully functional and extremely accurate pistol. Kratos is a 1911 semi-automatic pistol that was built with modern tools and machinery for the needs of modern shooters. From the outside, Kratos is a 1911 pistol, but the interior, the design, build and features of Kratos represent the ultimate phenomenon of modern times and demands.

The final and most specific development, design, tweaks and testing of Kratos took nearly four years before it was unveiled to the public at IWA 2022 and tested by the inventor himself at the IPSC Handgun World Shoot 2022, Pattaya, Thailand. Today, Kratos boasts a number of outstanding improvements, innovations and patents held by M-Arms and are valid worldwide.

But Žiga did not stop with development and innovation, as he continued in the field of 2011 models and in 2024 presented a revolution of double stack pistols. Aion, which we at M-Arms call Kratos’ younger stronger brother, is full of innovative implementations that once again distinguish it as a cutting edge product on 2011 market.
